About

Toni Saunders is an unshakable Educational Consultant/Advocate for students with disabilities.

With a Master of Science degree in Psychology of Applied Behavioral Analysis (M.S. PSYABA,) Saunders has a career that spans over 30 years. Her career started because she had to maneuver her own daughter, who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, through the special education system which forced her to learn everything she could about the laws and regulations. Because of a combination of the successful education of her daughter, and the small number of professionals who took her approach to educational advocacy, she set out to help the masses.

Starting to work professionally for the organization that trained her to be an advocate, she soon discovered issues that made it clear that she needed to branch out on her own.

On April 1, 2001, Saunders founded the nonprofit organization called Associated Advocacy Center-Visions for the Future, Inc. Through its 21 years, the organization has helped over 2000 students. Saunders has sat on numerous boards of directors for education-related organizations and has had the opportunity to speak and train nationally at events in the industry. Coming to the realization that her name truly is the brand; the organization was dissolved in December of 2021. She is now adding Keynote Speaker to her repertoire to teach more parents, administrators, and professionals on the national stage, while continuing her consulting/advocacy business.

Always striving to help as many families as possible, she created both a one-of-a-kind student Records Analysis and an Advocacy App. The records analysis has been around for many years, helping parents going into a team meeting, understanding the evaluations and how to use that information to create an Individual Education Program IEP that helps their child make effective progress. The app, called Special Education Advocate App, has been on the market since 2016 and is available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store. Currently, the app is undergoing some changes and is out of circulation but is expected to return in 2023.

As with education, Saunders became an author because in October of 2015, she was diagnosed with terminal stage IV endometrial, brain and subsequently liver cancer. True to form, she was not going to go down without a fight. It was the journey through both traditional and holistic healing, along with her career, that inspired her to write her debut book entitled “Healed: To Save The Children.” The book is now available everywhere.

This powerful woman has been in the field of education for a long time but shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
